Meet the Peterson Family
Since 1893, the Peterson family has been growing stone fruit in California’s Central Valley, rooted in a deep respect for the land and the people who care for it. Today, Vern and his son Erik continue that work with a shared sense of purpose, finding joy in each season and pride in what they grow. Their approach is simple. Care for the soil. Care for the people. Grow fruit the right way. That commitment has set them apart, becoming the first stone fruit farm to earn Equitable Food Initiative certification and among the first in fresh produce to achieve Regenerative Organic Certified®.
Vern started in the orchard at five years old, grading peaches alongside his father. Everyone had a role. That’s how the family farm worked, and it still does today. For generations, the Peterson family has grown stone fruit with care for both the land and the people behind it. They continue to carry that legacy forward with every harvest.
